Last week, during the shortened trading week, we did not get much of a Christmas present from the market, as the major indices were roughly flat on a week-over-week basis. This week, we have yet another shortened trading week as we wrap up 2024 and ring in 2025. This means that things will be slow again this week. However, things will pick up in a major way in the coming weeks as the Q4 earnings season kicks off!
Last week, we didn’t have many notable economic data releases, which caused the market to be a bit stagnant. Unfortunately, it’s looking like we’ll see much of the same this week!
As we mentioned in the previous section, there won’t be much going on in terms of economic data releases this week. However, things will kick off in the first full week in January with some fairly important information!
Once again, we don’t have any notable earnings releases this week. However, be sure to tune in next week, as Q4 earnings season begins with some of the largest companies in the world reporting their earnings!
